Our friends Joe and Maura came over with Owen (8 months) and we did a side-by-side comparasion shot. I think Owen was about the same size as Lila when he was born!

Lila's Hair

Everyone notices how Lila has been blessed with SO MUCH HAIR! There is an old wives tale that says if you have bad heartburn then you'll have a baby with a full head of hair. This totally was true for us (I had the worst heartburn even through labor and was begging the nurses for tums).

We had to buy Lila some bows and then went a little crazy....

PS: the whole song title thing probably won't be happening, I couldn't come up with any good songs about hair...If Ryan makes a post he can come up with a song.

Baby Mine

Lila Ryan Patel joined us on August 23, 2010 at 10:41 p.m. after five very long days of labor. The second we met her, we knew she was completely worth all the effort and would repeat the process over and over if that meant having her in our lives. She weighed 7 lbs, 4oz and was 20 1/2 inches long.

This will primarily be a photo-blog so our family and friends can keep up with Lila as she grows and explores the world around her. The blog's name is a play on the word lullaby and will help you remember it better. Each entry should have a song title too - so this one is Baby Mine by Allison Kraus and Union Station (Also a song used in Dumbo - I guess it is a little older than Union Station).
